Helping move Jen, Jason, and kids

The new house is in Clarkdale, Arizona just 45 min. from Sedona
Summer is so excited to have her own room with a great window and view of the palms and fountain

Syd has opted for the denim and red bedding

Wish you could see the great view from here - you'll just have to go visit to take it all in

We had time for a great hamburger at Bings in old town Clarkdale - what a cute city!

Terry was in charge of packing the stuff in and it was hot, hot, hot!

The kids loved riding in the truck - especially when it was empty and Pops would hit the speed bumps without slowing down!

We all had to take turns as lifeguard as Ty wants to be in the pool all the time

Syd and Ty taking their first leap into their very own pool!

Our "House Swap" to Las Vegas

Jen suggested we do a "House Swap" with her in-laws for a few days. All of them came to our house and Becky & Brads and we got to go to Gary & Maries beautiful home in Las Vegas. We are sure we got the best of the deal! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend - well, except for the drive home in horrible traffic Sunday!
We love watching our grandbaby grow!

We got to see two of Beckys old friends, Cassie and Hayley, and got to meet Cassies baby, Scarlett - what a cutie!

We golfed on their putting green and played bocce ball

We swam in the wonderful pool

We saw a great show - the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil

We walked the Strip and checked out the cool hotels and Bellagio water show

Becky and I started the babies quilt

And finished the top - isn't it cute? We had some sad news while we were gone - our dog, Willy, died. Check out the former post about him.
It was a great, relaxing weekend and we hope the Stewarts want to do it again next year!

Missing Willy

We lost our good buddy, Willy, on Saturday morning. We got him as a puppy about 16 years ago. He was a great dog and we sure will miss him. He went blind and deaf about 1 1/2 years ago but still loved to go for walks (and kill rats!). I walked him around the lake on Thurs. morning and then we did our house swap with the Stewart family so we weren't here when he died. Thanks Jen for dealing with the details. We miss him.

A new camera just in time for a baby shower for Becky

Becky's friends gave her a wonderful shower. Her baby girl will sure be styling with all her great gifts!
It seems as though her name will be Libby (Elizabeth Kaye) even though it really isn't official yet!

This had to be the cutes diaper cake ever and the food was delicious! Becky has great friends!

There were adorable decorations everywhere!

The old high school friends - Jaime, Callie and Bec. Can you believe that between them they will soon have 7 kids?! Okay, so what if Callie has 4 all by herself!!!!

"Libby" got so many cute outfits and we all loved this swimsuit - she just has to love the water if she is Becky's daughter!

Natalie did some great things for the shower including shopping for the group gift - their carseat/stroller travel system

The wonderful shower was given by Becky's great friends, Sarah, Cindy, and Laura

USS Midway

Can you see the name? Sidney Summer! Pretty cool!
Terry is pointing out what color shirt he was - the good looking brown guy!

The kids thought the bunks were quite comfy. Pops said he was stacked 5 high! Yikes!

Our very own tour guide told some great stories

Here we are in front of the type of plane Pops was in charge of when her served on the USS Ticonderoga during the Vietnam War. It is now resting on the bottom of the ocean someplace after it was intentionally sunk because it was so outdated! How does that make Pops feel?!!!

District Foster continues

The front of the carrier

Are those the cutest sailors or what? I was going to buy them all a sailor hat but they cost $13 each! Each family got one hat!

Porter and Ellie dressed us as members of the Mormon Batallion in the new visitors center in San Diego Old Town. It is great - go check it out!

Panning for gold at the visitors center - they got to keep one nugget of gold!
